Rose Marie Starr, 60, of Springville, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at her residence in Springville. She was born on December 8, 1956, in Manchester, the daughter of James and Ermina Rose (Morley) Starr. Rose was raised in Manchester and attended West Delaware schools. She later received her high school diploma and Associate of Arts degree in Office Administration at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids.
In 1972 Rose married Randall Brown. One son was born to this union. The couple later divorced. She married Douglas Hauschild in 1976 and they later divorced. Rose met Ken Clemen in 1985 and they were united in marriage on October 27, 2007, at St. Luke’s Chapel in Cedar Rapids.
Rose worked at the Orbis factory and the Good Neighbor Home, both in Manchester, and at various waitressing jobs. She also worked for Alliant Energy, 10 years at Nash Finch, and 10 years at Fareway. For the past 27 years the couple lived in Springville. They enjoyed wintering in Florida for the past six years.
Rose was a dog lover. She enjoyed spending time with her family, but especially loved being with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Ken Clemen of Springville; her son, Travis (Samantha) Brown of Marion; three granddaughters, Ashley Beachel, and twins, Cheyenne Brown and Chelsea Coons; two great-grandsons, Ryker and Xaiden; her siblings, Peggy (Chris Allen) Starr of Bernard, and James A. (Tammy) Starr of Manchester.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; and a niece, Nakiah Starr.
