Regional Medical Center is thankful to have been included in their charitable donations. Recently, family members Bob Johnson (brother) and Art Johnson (nephew) were welcomed to RMC to tour the CT Suite area of which Bengt and Marietta’s estate helped fund.
“Having a high-tech CT Suite is very important to our hospital and ultimately our communities, the people we serve,” shares Lynn MacTaggart, Radiology Manager. “With our CT scanner, we can help diagnose many different things from muscle and bone disorders, detect internal injuries and internal bleeding, and pinpoint an infection or blood clot, among other things. We really appreciate the Johnson’s very generous donation.”
Bengt and Marietta lived near Manchester throughout their lives and were very active in their community. They enjoyed farming and being outdoors, where Marietta was known for her beautiful flower gardens. The Johnson’s were the founding members of Our Savior Lutheran Church and loved helping others. Giving to others was forefront in their lives as they quietly contributed to many worthy causes over the years. The Johnson’s didn’t have any children but were very close to their many nieces and nephews.
