HS BASKETBALL: Results From Tuesday 12-12

The West Delaware Hawks Boys basketball team improved their mark to 3-3 with a convincing 71-41 win at Maquoketa last night. The Hawks never trailed in the contest that saw only 1 tie after they led early 5-0. It became an 8-point lead after one quarter and thirteen at halftime before extending their lead to 25 at the end of the 3rd. Their largest lead was 31 points in the 4th quarter. The Hawks hit 10 three-pointers and received 18 points from their bench players.Tyler Kelley led the offense with 21 points including 4 three’s, Derek Krogmann had 19 with his first ever 3-ball in the 2nd quarter. Trevor O’Reilly tallied 12 points off the bench, 9 from Kyle Kelley, Gavin Soppe with 5, 2 from Drew Wubbena and Jared Harris and Brandon Engelken added 1. WD’s WaMaC East side record sits at 2-1 as they will host Mount Vernon Friday night.
