One person was taken to the hospital after rear-ending a tow truck north of Ryan Tuesday morning.
It happened on Highway 13 at the intersection of D-42 shortly before 10:30 am. The Iowa State Patrol says a tow truck pulling a disabled straight truck was stopped waiting to turn left when it was rear-ended by a car.
The driver of the car, 78-year old Jean Ungs of Manchester, was transported to Regional Medical Center in Manchester with what authorities believed were minor injuries.
The driver of the tow truck, 57-year old Ronald Edaburn of Manchester, was not hurt.
Ungs was cited for Following Too Closely.
