Dorothy Jeanne Seibert, 87, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018, at the ABCM Rehabilitation Center in Independence. She was born on November 20, 1930, in Wood Center, Iowa, the daughter of Eugene and Edna (Binning) Whitehead. Dorothy was raised in the area and was a 1948 graduate of Greeley High School.
On December 31, 1949, Dorothy was united in marriage to Charles Seibert in Manchester. Nine children were born to this union. The family lived in Manchester where Dorothy was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and doing embroidery work. Dorothy loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with them.
Survivors include her seven children, Mike (Karen) Seibert of Delhi, Jeff (Angie) Seibert, Kevin (Barb) Seibert, Al (Joyce) Seibert, Diane (Mario) Diaz, all of Manchester, Joni Seibert of Delaware, and Liz (Paul) Heffernen of Manchester; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandson; a son-in-law, Bob Lee of Manchester; and her siblings, Jean (Lyle) Beck of Dubuque, Carole (Don) Jensen of Blairstown, Glen (Mary) Whitehead of Des Moines, and Gary (Judy) Whitehead of Delhi.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Seibert, in 2001; two daughters, Chris Wolf and Linda Lee; and her siblings, Joyce (Kenneth) Andrews, Mary (Milo) Timmerman, Lois (Ernest) Philipp, and three infant siblings.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., on Friday, January 12, 2018, at Greeley Community Church in Greeley, Iowa, with Pastor Peter Buschmann officiating.
Visitation: 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester. Friends may also call one hour before the service at the church on Friday.
Interment: Edgewood Cemetery – Edgewood, Iowa
