A free radon awareness workshop is being held in Manchester tonight.
January is National Radon Action Month, and Charity Loecke from Delaware County Public Health says Iowa actually has one of the highest rates of radon levels in the nation.
The public will be able to learn more about radon and how to test for the gas in their home at tonight’s workshop at the Delaware County Extension Office.
Short-term radon test kits are available to purchase for seven dollars at the Extension Office, as well as at tonight’s workshop.
Registration for the workshop was due last Friday, but if you have any questions about radon, feel free to call Delaware County Public Health at 927-7551.
