Anamosa Chamber Presents Awards; Fareway Named Business of the Year

The Anamosa Chamber held their annual dinner Thursday night at the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa.

It’s been a big year for the Chamber, as they welcomed new Chamber Director LeeAnna Boone. Boone says this past year was a good one for Anamosa.

The Anamosa Chamber presented several awards last night, with the Anamosa Fareway named the Business of the Year. Managers Bryan Bucheit and Jeremy Garrett say that’s a huge honor for a business that’s only been open for a little over a year.

One of the big ongoing efforts right now in the Anamosa area is the Wapsi Trail project. Fidelity Bank and Trust Vice President Kris Gobeli has contributed many hours to the project and was named as the Anamosa Chamber’s Volunteer of the Year for her efforts.

And Anamosa Chamber Board President Deb Oldham gave the President’s Award to Marcy Pate from F&M Bank for her willingness to always help out.

Boone says the support the Anamosa Chamber receives throughout the year from volunteers and businesses is incredible.

And they’re looking forward to a busy 2018…

And the winner of the Anamosa Chamber’s $3,000 travel voucher giveaway was drawn Thursday night… congratulations to Jolene Kramer of Monticello!
