By Jon Swisher-Sports Director:

High School basketball returns with a regular full slate for a Tuesday night. From KMCH Sports an area girls and boys split doubleheader. First a battle for the Tri-Rivers Conference, as the two teams ranked No. 1 in their respective classes get together at North Linn High School. The 2A top-rated 17-0 Lynx girls welcome in the 1A top-ranked 16-2 Orioles of Springville. The Lynx are 15-0 in TRC play while Springville is in 2nd place behind them with a 14-1 mark. North Linn won the first meeting back on December 5th in Springville, 48-35. All the coverage live on KMCH and KMCH.com this evening with Sports Director Jon Swisher and North Linn 2003 graduate and current assistant Lynx Football coach Chris Nielsen around 5:55pm. After the girls contest we’ll send it to Alburnett for Ed-Co Boys Basketball with Bill Logan and Ed-Co Activities Director Roger Wright. The Vikings are 14-2 overall with a 12-2 TRC record, good for 2nd in the league behind unbeaten North Linn. The host Pirates are 12-4 overall and 11-4 in TRC play.
