HS Wrestling: Second IWCOA Rankings Released

The second installment of the Iowa Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association’s dual team rankings were released yesterday and two area teams remain in their respective classes rankings. In class 2A West Delaware jumped from number five to the number three team in the state behind New Hampton/Turkey Valley and Clarion-Goldfield-Dows with Ballard and Davenport Assumption round out the top five. Western Dubuque climbed one spot in the class 3A as they came in 14th in the second rankings as Fort Dodge is the number one team in class 3A followed by West Des Moines Valley, Waukee, Southeast Polk, and Johnston. In class 1A Don Bosco, Lisbon, Denver, Missouri Valley, and Lake Mills are the top five teams. The IWCOA rankings are the official rankings used by the Iowa High School Athletic Association for the seeding of the teams in each class for the regional and state duals pairings.
