HS BASKETBALL: WD Hawks and Bobcat Boys Meet for First Place Showdown

By Jon Swisher-Sports Director:

On the final Friday night of the regular season where both girls and boys teams will compete, a big boys WaMaC Conference East division contest takes place in Manchester as the 13-5 West Delaware Hawks host the 13-4 Bobcats of Western Dubuque in the two teams final ever meeting as WaMaC Conference foes. The Bobcats have possession of first place on the East side with a 10-2 mark, the Hawks are 9-3 and with a win can tie Western Dubuque with one East division game remaining for each team. Hawks 5th-year head coach Matt Uthoff talks about the importance of the game besides just first place being on the line:

Uthoff played for Coach Geraghty his senior year in 2000 at West Delaware. The Hawks won the first game in Epworth back on January 9th, 63-53. All the coverage live tonight on KMCH and KMCH.com with Sports Director Jon Swisher and Bill Logan.
