Delaware County officials were scheduled to hear an update on the wind turbines near Earlville on Monday, but the presentation has been put on hold.
Steve Thompson of Optimum Renewables was on the agenda at Monday’s Delaware County Supervisors meeting, but due to illness, the presentation was tabled and will likely be on next week’s agenda. The wind turbine project has changed hands, so county officials are eager to hear Thompson’s presentation.
In other Delaware County news, the Supervisors have agreed to renew a three-year lease of County’s crop and pasture ground to Dan Ries of Earlville. Ries has rented the ground for the past six years. The lease is for just over 42-thousand dollars per year and includes 156 acres of crop land and 31 acres of pasture ground near the Penn Center near Delhi.
The County has also approved a speed limit of 35 miles per hour for X-29 near Lake Delhi.
They also approved temporarily closing X-49 from 12th Avenue Southwest to 1st Avenue West for Dyersville’s Gaelic Gallop on Saturday, March 17th from 10 to 11 am.
And they set a public hearing for Delaware County’s Five Year Construction Program for February 20th at 1:15 pm.
