A Ryan native is inspiring others to reach high after finding tremendous success as a young entrepreneur. 29-year old Brad McDonald is the co-founder of an online agricultural business called Agroy.
And the business’ concept has taken off… Agroy generated more than two million dollars in sales during its first year of business in 2016 and has grown even more in just the past three months.
Last fall, McDonald received national attention when he was named to the Forbes’ 30 Under 30 List.
McDonald shared his success story with a room of Manchester business professionals at the Delco AMP’T luncheon last Thursday. He says his journey all started with one goal – getting accepted into Notre Dame – and even though he didn’t reach that goal right out of high school, his path of trying to get there transformed him into someone more capable than he ever imagined.
McDonald is humble about his success, but he is quick to give credit to his roots.
And this farmboy has stayed true to his roots… even though McDonald’s business is based in Chicago where he and his wife live, he still makes the drive back home to eastern Iowa quite often to help his dad, Tom, operate the family farm.
