Anamosa School Evacuated For Bomb Threat

The Anamosa Police Department responded to the Anamosa High School for a reported bomb threat on Thursday. Anamosa high school staff had received information of a possible bomb in the school. Students and Staff were evacuated and authorities were notified and began an investigation. Bomb technicians as well as bomb sniffing K9 from the Marion Police Department conducted a search of the building. No evidence of an explosive device was located as a result of the search. Students returned to classes following the search. Authorities believe this to be an isolated incident with no further danger to students or staff.  The incident remains under investigation.
