A Center Point man was injured when his SUV struck a manure spreader in Linn County Saturday.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says it happened in the 3400 block of Walker Road around 4 pm. They say a tow truck that was pulling a manure spreader was stopped on the road, with the driver outside of his vehicle. It was rear-ended by a SUV driven by 22-year old Preston Waterbury.
Waterbury was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids with what authorities believed were non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the tow truck, 82-year old Roger Kalsem of Waterloo, was not hurt.
Kalsem has been cited for stopping on the paved part of a highway.
