Manchester Good to Great is moving forward on several ideas that were submitted through the recent “Engage Manchester” survey.
Last Thursday night, the public was invited to attend a community meeting at the Manchester Fire Station to get the ball rolling on some of those ideas, as well as brainstorm other ideas that would make Manchester a better place to live, work and visit.
That’s Manchester Good to Great’s new chairperson Wes Schulte, who is taking over the reigns from Dean Sherman. Schulte says bike trails got the biggest response in the survey – and it also drew the largest table of people at last Thursday night’s meeting.
The request for an indoor pool was the second biggest response from the public, but it may be one of the more challenging projects.
You can listen in on some of the discussions that were held at last week’s meeting – just check out the video posted on the Manchester Chamber’s Facebook page. Many of the ideas – such as the bike trails, the indoor pool, the expanded Farmer’s Market – are forming committees and will be meeting again in the near future to move those ideas forward. Schulte says they’d love for you to get involved.
