The North Linn Lynx Boys Basketball team ended an outstanding season last Friday afternoon falling in the Class 1A championship contest 49-46 to Grandview Christian. The loss ended a 29-game win streak dating back to the final day of last season. Nineteenth-year Lynx co-head coach Mike Hilmer describes the atmosphere and how the game played out:

Miller finishes his career as the all-time leader in scoring in North Linn Boys program history as he passed 1994 graduate John Flannagn earlier in the season. Miller winds up with 1,757, 98 more than Hilmer.
The Lynx who appeared in their first title game in program history finished at 28-1, a school and program record and had the most wins by any boys team in Iowa for the 2nd year in a row after last seasons 27 win mark.
