U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley will be meeting with students from several local schools this Friday.
Grassley will host a youth summit in Cedar Rapids to talk about the federal judiciary and its impact on daily life. Grassley currently serves as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Grassley’s half-day symposium will feature federal district and circuit court judges, invited members of the Iowa legal community, area high school students and educators selected by their respective schools.
One hundred and five school districts spanning 30 counties in northeast Iowa have been invited to participate in Friday’s summit, including three local high schools – West Delaware, East Buchanan and Western Dubuque.
Senator Grassley will also be in Monticello on Friday afternoon to meet with employees at Innovative Ag Services for a Q&A session. It’s part of his annual tour of Iowa’s 99 counties.
