The Maquoketa Valley baseball program is holding a breakfast fundraiser Sunday morning.
Head coach Eric Conner says they wanted to try a new way of raising funds.
Sunday’s breakfast will run from 7:30 to 11:30 am, with the baseball players from grades seven through twelve serving pancakes, sausage, ham, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, cinnamon rolls and drinks. The breakfast costs eight dollars for adults and four dollars for kids, with all the proceeds going towards equipment and field improvements within the Maquoketa Valley baseball program.
Conner is kicking off his second year as Maquoketa Valley’s head baseball coach and he says he’s looking forward to the upcoming season.
The MV baseball team’s first practice will be April 30th, with the season getting underway on May 21st.
