Driver in Deadly Edgewood Accident Pleads Not Guilty

The driver charged in a deadly accident near Edgewood has pleaded not guilty.

20-year old Kory Doeppke of Elkader faces two charges of vehicular homicide while driving under the influence. He failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a pickup truck northwest of Edgewood on February 16th. Two passengers, 16-year old Brady Edwards of Greeley and 16-year old Izaiah Drinkwater of Manchester, died from their injuries.

A hearing on a competency examination of Doeppke is scheduled for May 22nd.
