Plans are in the works to bring a brewery to downtown Dyersville… and it’s part of bigger project to develop the town’s riverfront.
Dyersville Economic Development Director Jacque Rahe says it’s exciting to see this idea of a riverfront brewery finally coming to life.
Rahe says they realized the sewing contractor’s building at 146 2nd Street Northeast could be up for sale, so they checked it out and discovered it was a great fit for a potential brewery.
Rahe says they’re just in the beginning stages now… but if all goes well, they’re hoping the new brewery, which will also include a tasting room and event space, will be celebrating a grand opening by next spring. The brewery is just one of many new features planned along the river in downtown Dyersville just north of the 1st Avenue Bridge. RDG had recently done some conceptual designs for the City.
Rahe says they have begun acquiring some of those properties and doing environmental testing. We could see some dirt moving and potentially some site development late this summer into fall.
