The Delaware County Board of Supervisors met Monday.
The Board heard a presentation from Dave Sunne of Backbone State Park, who informed them that the park will be celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2020. The Board also heard a presentation from Laurie Renda of the Carriage Glow Equine Event, which will return to the Delaware County Fairgrounds this summer on August 5th and 6th.
The County Supervisors also approved a resolution for the Waiting Period Waiver for the Issuance of a Construction Permit for Tom and Nancy McDonald of rural Ryan, who are looking to rebuild two confined feeding operations following a fire last summer.
The County has agreed to send a letter of support for RPM Access, who is seeking support to get a wind tower project approved in Black Hawk County. RPM comes highly recommended by the County following the wind tower project near Greeley several years ago.
The Board has approved the purchase of a used mower tractor for nearly nine-thousand dollars.
And the Supervisors opened several bids for the rock resurfacing program and a tandem dump truck chassis. Those bids will be reviewed and tabled until next week.
