The Maquoketa Valley School Board met Monday night.
Superintendent Doug Tuetken tells KMCH that the board approved the collective bargaining agreement for the upcoming school year between the MVEA and the Maquoketa Valley Board of Directors.
The MV School Board also talked about the PPEL and SAVE projections in regards to the school’s building project. And Curriculum Director Ann Norton shared the results of this year’s assessment scores with the board.
And several events are coming up this spring in which Maquoketa Valley high school students will be honored, including the Dollars for Scholars Awards Night and the Academic Excellence and National Honor Society Banquet.
Several staff changes have also been approved at Maquoketa Valley. Eric Conner has been hired as the MV High School Head Boys Basketball Coach. He previously served as an assistant coach for the program. This week, the school board approved hiring Dan Cassutt as an assistant coach for Boys Basketball. They also approved the hiring of Brandie Beaman as Concession Coordinator at MV.
