A tug of war team from Greeley is expected to represent the U.S. in the world championships in South Africa this fall – and they’re trying to raise funds for their trip.
Dave Kruse of Greeley is part of the Power Train Tug of War team. And he says visiting South Africa has been part of their history for a long time.
Greeley’s Power Train Tug of War team has fourteen team members who will be making the trip overseas.
And Kruse says they put in a lot of hours practicing…
You’ve got a couple chances to see them compete locally – they’ve got a pull coming up in Greeley on June 16th and they’ll be in Ryan at the end of August.
And if you’d like to help them raise money for their trip to South Africa, they’ll be serving as guest bartenders at Cooper’s Place in Ryan this Saturday night from 7 to 11, with music by Steven Durrey. They’ll be accepting tips and donations – and selling t-shirts as well.
