A man has been sentenced for a failed bank robbery in Clayton County.
21-year old Tyler Koehler of Monona attempted to rob the Freedom Bank in Monona last June. Information presented at his sentencing hearing showed Koehler passed multiple notes to the teller at the bank’s drive-up window, with each note threatening to “blow the place up” unless the teller gave him cash. The third note Koehler passed demanded $100,000. The teller stalled him until police arrived and took him into custody.
Koehler pleaded guilty to attempted bank robbery last November.
He was sentenced to three years in federal prison Monday.
