Two Injured in Motorcycle Accident Near Delaware

Two people were injured in a motorcycle accident near Delaware over the weekend.

It happened Sunday night on Highway 20. The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office says the rear tire blew out on a motorcycle that was headed west. The driver was able to slow down to about forty miles per hour before losing control and ending up in the median.

Both the driver, 54-year old Steven Airey of Marshalltown, and the passenger, 49-year old Tammy Weese of Gladbrook, suffered minor injuries, but declined medical treatment.
