Iowa Secretary of Ag candidate Dan Zumbach is hitting the road in the days leading up to Tuesday’s primary election.
Zumbach, a State Senator from Ryan, is one of five Republican candidates running for the Secretary of Ag position.
After six years in the legislature and forty years of farming, he says he’s ready to give it a try.
He faces Ray Gaesser of Corning, Chad Ingels of Randalia, Craig Lang of Brooklyn, and current Iowa Secretary of Ag Mike Naig of Des Moines for the Republican nomination.
Zumbach kicked off his statewide tour on Thursday morning in his hometown area of Manchester. A group of friends, family and supporters gathered at Widner Drug to see him off before he hits the road to meet more voters over the next four days. Traveling the state has kept him busy since he declared his candidacy earlier this year.
Zumbach plans to return home to Delaware County to watch to Tuesday’s primary election results come in.
