Delaware County’s Primary Election Results Now Official

The results of last Tuesday’s primary election in Delaware County are official.

The County Board of Supervisors canvassed the election results earlier this week. There were no changes.

Candidate for Governor Fred Hubbell and First Congressional District candidate Abby Finkenauer easily won Delaware County in the Democratic primary. But nearly twice as many residents voted for Kim Reynolds and Rod Blum in the Republican primary.

Nearly 79-percent of Delaware County’s Republican voters chose Dan Zumbach on the ballot for Secretary of Agriculture.

Out of nearly 12-thousand registered voters in Delaware County, over 13-hundred of them voted in the primary – that’s about an eleven percent voter turnout.

58-percent of the ballots cast were Republican and nearly 41-percent were Democrat. Less than one-percent voted Libertarian.
