Community Savings Bank broke ground on their new bank building in Manchester on Wednesday.
President and CEO Steve Brady says they simply need more space.
Community Savings Bank will build a new bank building on the same block as their current bank building on East Main Street – it will sit on the southeast corner of that block, with parking in front of the building.
Bruggeman Associates designed the exterior of the new bank building to compliment the look of the historic Delaware County Courthouse, which sits just across the street.
Community Savings Bank’s new building project has involved both Delaware County and the City of Manchester. The County is purchasing the current bank building for extra space and the City is swapping land with the bank in that block for city parking.
Brady says the new bank building means CSB customers will see a few changes.
Construction of the new Community Savings Bank building should be completed within the next nine to twelve months.
