Two Anamosa Women Injured in Collision

Two women from Anamosa were injured in a collision in Marion Saturday night.

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says 71-year old Marcia Brandt was driving a pickup truck that collided with a car at the intersection of Highway 100 and 31st Street. Both Brandt and her passenger, 67-year old Joan Donovan, were taken to St. Luke’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car, 38-year old James Mochal of Cedar Rapids, suffered serious injuries.

Traffic in that area of Highway 100 westbound was closed for a little more than an hour due to the crash, which remains under investigation.
