A Missouri man has been arrested after breaking into machine sheds in the Oelwein area.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says they received a report of a burglary in progress on J Avenue Sunday night. The property owner had confronted a man who was stealing items from his machine shed. The suspect fled, but deputies found him and took him into custody.
An investigation uncovered that the suspect, 30-year old Nathan Edgar of Van Buren, Missouri, broke into a machine shed near Oelwein and stolen items, including the vehicle he was driving. Authorities say he then went to the J Avenue area and broke into another machine shed before he was apprehended.
Edgar faces several charges, including 2nd and 3rd Degree Burglary and 2nd Degree Theft.
