Hundreds of motorcycles will be making a stop in Manchester on Saturday.
The town is hosting the Combat Veterans Benefit Ride. Mike Zellner with the Manchester Legion Riders explains.
The event actually gets underway Friday in Elkport/Garber at the campground there, with a car show, dinner and entertainment with a pre-ride through the area too. But the big ride is Saturday, starting in Wadena with an afternoon stop planned in Manchester.
The motorcycle will be coming down Highway 13 north into Manchester between 12:45 and 1 pm on Saturday. Zellner says they are aware it’s fair week, so there will be someone directing traffic to allow other drivers to get through to the fairgrounds or wherever they need to go. He says it’s a great organization that the Manchester Legion Riders joined up with about four years ago.
The public is welcome to stop out for the Combat Veterans Benefit Ride in downtown Manchester – or you can join along the ride itself. Vehicles of all kinds are welcome. More information can be found on the group’s Facebook page.
