Delaware County is purchasing several new pieces of road construction equipment.
On Monday, the Board of Supervisors approved the purchase of a used four-year old dozer. The County will be trading in an old dozer for 17-thousand dollars, bringing the purchase price down to about 82-thousand dollars. County Engineer Anthony Bardgett says it’s a big upgrade from what they have now.
The County also set August 6th as the date to receive bids for two pickup trucks.
An update on road and bridge projects around Delaware County…
Schroeder Construction closed 245th Avenue last Friday for the bridge project there and started removing the bridge.
The D-47 Paving Project is now complete.
And BARD Materials is wrapping up contract rock this week. River City Stone is planning to start their area this Wednesday – they’ll be working in the southwest area of Delaware County.
