The man who left the scene of a deadly accident at Lake Delhi this past winter appeared in court Tuesday morning.
Joshua Juengel pled guilty to Homicide by Vehicle, Leaving the Scene of a Fatality Accident, Third Degree Theft and Fifth Degree Theft.
Authorities had found Juengel’s SUV in the lake on January 8th with Alex Salow’s body inside. He later admitted he was driving the vehicle at the time and got out while it was submerged in the water, leaving Salow at the scene and returning home to Manchester.
Juengel faces up to ten years in prison if convicted of the homicide charge, along with five years for leaving the scene. The State will recommend those sentences run concurrently.
Previous charges of False Reports and Reckless Driving have been dismissed.
Juengel’s sentencing is set for August 21st.
