An ATV Youth Safety Training Course will be held later this month in Delaware County.
The course is set for Saturday, August 18th at 9 am at Bailey’s Ford Park south of Manchester.
ATV riders who between the ages of 12 and 17 are required to have taken and passed an ATV education course and have an education certificate in their possession when they’re riding on public land, public ice and designated riding areas and trails.
This is a classroom and rider-based course that lasts about four to six hours. Students must provide their own properly-sized ATV with proper equipment and gear. And a parent must accompany the student during the duration of the training.
The class will be taught by DNR-certified volunteer ATV education instructors. The cost is twenty-five dollars.
