Dubuque County Woman Ending Reign as Iowa State Fair Queen

A young woman from Dubuque County has had an memorable year serving as the Iowa State Fair Queen. Beckman grad and Holy Cross native Jacqueline Ehrlich won the coveted title a year ago.

For the past year, Ehrlich has been traveling the state representing the Iowa State Fair.

Ehrlich has been juggling her royalty role with her busy schedule as a college student. She’ll be entering her junior year at Iowa State, majoring in Biochemistry.

Ehrlich’s reign as Iowa State Fair Queen is quickly coming to an end, with new royalty to be crowned on Saturday night. And after attending forty-three county fairs this summer, she’s gotten the opportunity to meet many of the contestants.

And one of Ehrlich’s favorite fair moments this past year came at the Delaware County Fair in Manchester, when she met country superstar Martina McBride prior to her concert.
