Training will be held this fall for anyone interested in becoming a Master Gardener.
ISU Extension and Outreach Delaware County will hold core training sessions, with the first session set for Tuesday, September 11th at 6 pm.
New for this year is an expansion of the flipped classroom model – lectures that were previously given during classroom sessions are now available to be watched online at your convenience, freeing up class time for hands-on activities and tours of local gardens.
In-class training sessions will be held on Tuesday nights in various locations in and around Delaware County. There is also one required Class on Campus training session on Saturday, November 3rd at the Iowa State campus in Ames.
Training fees are $150 for Delaware County residents and $195 for non-residents. And there is a family discount for two or more family members completing the training.
The deadline to register is September 1st. For more information, contact the Extension Office at 927-4201.
