Manchester Man Arrested after Domestic Disturbance

A Manchester man has been arrested after allegedly setting his girlfriend’s clothes on fire and choking her.

Police say they were called to 412 South Brewer Street on Tuesday for a report of a disturbance. An investigation revealed that the victim allegedly came home to find her clothes on fire in the front yard. They say an argument escalated to a physical attack, during which the victim was allegedly choked and injured.

Police arrested 50-year old Scott Wixom. He faces a felony charge of Domestic Assault Impeding Air Flow, as well as misdemeanor charges of 4th Degree Criminal Mischief and Open Burning.

He is out of custody after posting bond.
