DelCo BEST is looking for projects in the community that West Delaware students can help with.
DelCo BEST instructor Nate Lahr explains.
West Delaware sophomores, juniors and seniors are invited to take this elective class, which could run as long as one year, depending on the project and the student’s schedule. Karley Van Theemsche was one of last year’s DelCo BEST students who worked hard on not just one – but three – community projects.
The West Delaware chemistry lab project that Karley led should be wrapped up in the next week or two. She says DelCo BEST taught her things she might not have otherwise learned.
Now, there is a new group of students looking for new projects to work in the community – and Lahr says that’s where they need your help.
The public had a chance to pitch their ideas to DelCo BEST at an event this afternoon at the Manchester Center.
If you weren’t able to make it, but have a problem or an idea that you’d like to pitch to the DelCo BEST students, contact Nate Lahr with your suggestion at West Delaware High School at 927-3515 extension 342.
