A symphony from Kiev, Ukraine will be performing in Monticello on Friday night.
Monticello Rotarian Gerald Retzlaff says they are very excited to once again host the Kiev Symphony Orchestra and Choir. Most small towns don’t have the opportunity to host world-class musicians, but Monticello has a local tie to this special group.
They’ll entertain the audience with classical and folk music during a concert at the Monticello High School Gymnasium. But the group is about more than just music… Ann McClusky says they are a ministry who use their musical talents to help the people of their home country.
And she says once you see them in concert, their music and their mission will stay with you.
The Kiev Symphony Orchestra and Choir’s Monticello concert will start at 7:30 on Friday night. General admission tickets are twenty dollars for adults and ten dollars for students. Tickets are available at Monticello and Anamosa banks, or you can call 319-480-0014.
