A semi rolled over on Highway 13 north of Manchester Thursday morning.
The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office says it happened on the S-curve just south of 165th Street shortly after 8 am.
The driver, 23-year old Matthew Vaske of Manchester, told authorities he was heading south when he swerved to miss a deer.
The semi, along with the trailer it was hauling, veered off the road and into the ditch. The trailer was filled with feed corn, which spilled into the ditch.
The Sheriff’s Office says Vaske was ejected through the side door of the semi cab. He was transported to Regional Medical Center with possible injuries.
He has been cited for failing to maintain control.
The accident report says the crash also caused around five hundred dollars in damage to corn and a fence owned by Linda Kirby of Manchester.
