Operation Santa Claus Gathering Christmas Gifts for Children

It’s that time of year… Operation Santa Claus is kicking off their countywide effort to collect Christmas gifts for less fortunate children in Delaware County.

Volunteer Pat Becker says it’s all about making the holidays bright, with a focus on kids’ basic needs.

If you or someone you know needs Operation Santa Claus’ services, get their name and information in by next Thursday.

If you’d like to help by donating new clothing, toys or even non-perishable food, you can drop them off at the Manchester Chamber or an Operation Santa Claus “elf” can pick them up – call Pat Becker at 927-6603. If you’d like to donate specific items, you can take a tag off a Christmas tree at several locations starting around Veterans Day.

Monetary donations can also be dropped off at any of the Manchester banks or you can mail your check to Operation Santa Claus at Box 37 Manchester, Iowa 52057.

The gifts will be distributed to the families on the first Saturday in December.
