State Representative Lee Hein is running for re-election in Iowa House District 96.
Hein is serving his fourth term in the Iowa House. The Monticello farmer and former school board member says he firmly believes he’s there to tackle the budget.
Along with working on the budget, Hein would like to work on funding EMS services if he is re-elected. He says it was a suggestion from one of his constituents in Anamosa.
After eight years in the legislature, Hein says passing funding for the water quality bill last year is one of his proudest accomplishments. He says he’s learned a lot during his time in office.
Hein is being challenged for his House seat by Democrat Reenie Montgomery.
