Donald C. LeGassick, 92, of Manchester, Iowa, died Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Visitation: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Bohnenkamp – Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester, with Funeral Services at 12:00 p.m. Burial: Fairview Cemetery, Earlville.
Donald was born January 17, 1926, to Eva Jeanette Cobain and John James LeGassick on a farm northeast of Earlville. He graduated from Earlville High School in 1943 and farmed with his parents. On October 16, 1949, he married Verla Belle Morris at the Delhi United Methodist Church. They farmed in the Earlville area until 1954 when they moved to a farm east of Manchester. In 1986 they retired to Manchester.
Surviving are his three children, Jeanette (Bruce) Nieman and John LeGassick (friend, Connie) of Manchester, and Janelle (JR) Plotz of Delhi; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Verla Belle; his sister, Geneva Carradus; his daughter-in-law, Melani LeGassick; and his parents.
