Dyersville Semi Driver Involved in Deadly Collision; State Patrol Asking Public for Info

A local semi driver was involved in a deadly collision over the weekend.

It happened late Friday night in Tama County just north of Chelsea. The Iowa State Patrol says 34-year old Adam Nurre of Dyersville was driving his semi westbound on Highway 30 when for some unknown reason he crossed the centerline into the eastbound lane and hit an eastbound pickup truck.

The driver of the pickup, 38-year old Tamie Cockrell of Van Horne, died in the crash.

Nurre was not hurt.

The accident is under investigation. The Iowa State Patrol is requesting that anyone who may have been a witness to the collision – or who had gone through that area of Highway 30 during the time it took officers to respond to the scene – to come forward with any pertinent information. Please call the District 11 State Patrol office in Cedar Rapids at 319-396-1944 or Public Information Officer Sgt. Nathan Ludwig at 515-745-2863.
