The West Delaware School Board discussed the future of their French program at Monday night’s school board meeting.
Superintendent Dr. Kristen Rickey says the approval of their High School Program of Studies for next school year led to the discussion.
And Dr. Rickey says it was a great discussion.
She says there will be several other new programs next year too.
The West Delaware School Board also approved several staff changes – with resignations including Renee Schmidt as Food Service Employee, Emily Nurre as Special Education Teacher Associate and Wrestling Cheer Sponsor and Amy Mesch as Transportation Associate and hires including Judy Errthum as Food Service Employee, Shannon Funke as Head 7th Grade Girls Basketball Coach, Katherine Lange as Middle School Special Education Teacher Associate, Molly Brouillette as Wrestling Cheer Sponsor and Alyssa Hansel as Transportation Associate.
And on Monday night, the West Delaware Academic Booster Club presented several grants to teachers to support work they’re doing in their classrooms.
And official enrollment numbers are in at West Delaware – numbers have held steady, with a slight decline of just three students – leaving total enrollment in the district at 1,439 students.
