Voters in the Maquoketa Valley School District will be heading to the polls in February.
The School Board has set a date for a Physical Plant and Equipment Levy election for several improvements that still need to be completed at their schools.
That’s Superintendent Doug Tuetken, who says Maquoketa Valley still needs to do some updates and one of the things they’ve been discussing for a number of months is bringing to the voters an increase in the district’s PPEL levy. Tuetken says they would like to do 33 cents, which would generate approximately 115-thousand dollars.
Tuetken says Maquoketa Valley will be hosting meetings about the upcoming PPEL election and putting out more information over next couple months.
