Truck Accident Causes Power Outage in Fayette County

An pickup crash in Fayette County led to a power outage Sunday night.

The Sheriff’s Office says it happened about six miles west of Clermont in the 25,000 block of Garden Road shortly before 11:30 pm. They say a northbound pickup truck lost control and went into the ditch, hitting an electric pole – temporarily causing electricity to be out in the area.

The driver, 33-year old David Kleppe of Ossian, was not injured. His truck was totaled.
