A man was hit by a vehicle while crossing the street in Manchester on Wednesday.
It happened downtown on North Franklin Street a little before 11 am.
According to the police report, the driver, Lavonne Weber of Manchester, made a right-hand turn onto North Franklin Street from West Fayette Street when she struck a pedestrian who was walking eastbound across the street by Palmer Hardware. Police say the pedestrian, Jim Thole of Manchester, was struck with the front middle to passenger side of Weber’s SUV.
Police say Thole was not crossing the street in a marked crosswalk.
Thole was transported by his wife, Linda, to Regional Medical Center to be checked for possible injuries.
Weber was not hurt.
