Area legislators are preparing for the 2019 Legislative Session, which gets underway a week from today. And this past Friday, three of those lawmakers participated in a discussion with Delaware County residents.
It was all part of Delaware County Economic Development’s Annual Legislative Roundtable and Tours, which this year included visits to Paladin Attachments and Wulfekuhle Electric in Delhi. After the tours, the group headed to Maquoketa Valley High School, where legislators took questions from Delaware County business and community leaders, as well as students from Ed-Co, West Delaware and Maquoketa Valley.
State Representative Lee Hein of Monticello says he always enjoys this event.
Newly-elected State Senator Carrie Koelker of Dyersville says she welcomes any opportunity to visit with constituents.
State Senator Dan Zumbach of Ryan says he always appreciates what the Delaware County Legislative Roundtable and Tours offers each year.
Tune in to the KMCH Local News throughout the week – we’ll be hearing from our area legislators on their top priorities for the upcoming session, as well as what they think will be accomplished over the next several months.
