Greeley Couple Arrested for Child Endangerment; Drugs Found in Home

Two Greeley residents have been arrested for child endangerment after drugs were found in their home.

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to perform a welfare check on a child at the Burgin/Topping residence at 106 Moody Street on the night of December 29th. The caller was concerned there was illegal drug use inside the home.

A deputy who arrived at the home noticed a strong marijuana odor and obtained a search warrant. During the search, authorities found marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year old Joshua Burgin and 32-year old Reanonda Topping on charges of possessing a controlled substance, possessing drug paraphernalia and child endangerment.

Sheriff John LeClere says the child endangerment charge is based on unlawful drug use and loaded, unsecure firearms being in the home with children residing there.
